I was lucky enough to spend a summer at Crucial Detail, the boundry-defying design practice of Martin Kastner. Known for their innovative, unique, and exceptionally elegant servingware, the studio supplies chefs like Grant Achatz of 3-Michlien star Alinea, and others on the vanguard, with custom dishes, plates, utensils, glasssware, and objects that sit comfortably between art and function.
During my time at the studio, I developed and fabricated an experimental dish that ended up on the Alinea episode of the Netflix show Chef's Table.
